White Plains, MD (December 7, 2023) – A young child was seriously injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place in the White Plains area on Tuesday evening, December 5. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 5:54 p.m.
According to reports provided by local authorities, an 11-year-old male was struck by a vehicle on Billingsley Road in the area near St. Patricks Drive. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the child with significant injuries. Emergency personnel provided aid to the victim on site. A MEDEVAC helicopter was requested to transport the child to an area hospital for emergency care. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is currently in charge of the crash investigation.
