Abingdon, MD (June 9, 2023) – The Maryland State Police confirmed that 45-year-old Dennis English, Jr. and 64-year-old John Mastropietro both lost their lives as a result of a car crash that took place in Abingdon on Thursday evening, June 8.
Reports provided by the police show that two vehicles collided on Interstate 95 at around 6:00 p.m. Investigations found that a head-on collision between a GMC terrain and a Subaru Forrester took place on the northbound side of Interstate 95 near Exit 77. The impact of the crash caused the Subaru to go airborne and overturn.
The drivers of both vehicles, identified as English and John Mastropietro, were both fatally injured. Two passengers in the Subaru, identified as 68-year-old Denise Berlin and 26-year-old Jade Mastropietro, were both transported to shock trauma for the treatment of injuries.
