Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Maryland

California, MD – Fatal Pedestrian Crash by Three Notch Rd & Airport RdEvery year, countless innocent victims lose their lives as a result of automobile accidents in Maryland. Far too often, victims are pedestrians. These vulnerable victims are more likely to suffer severe and fatal injuries due to the fact that they have no protection during accidents. When they are struck by large vehicles or speeding cars, they are likely to suffer more severe injuries.

Regrettably, there are many instances where innocent people die as a result of fatal collisions caused by negligent drivers. There are several leading factors in these accidents, including:

  • Drivers who do not yield the right-of-way to pedestrians
  • Drivers who pass stop signs at intersections
  • Drivers who run red lights while traveling through intersections
  • Drivers who are too distracted by their phones
  • Drivers who are impaired by alcohol

Unfortunately, we see many people lose their lives as a result of accidents that are purely preventable. The unexpected and sudden loss of a loved one can be incredibly difficult to deal with. Families often struggle to move forward. Not only do families have to deal with overwhelming mental and emotional consequences, but they often face tens of thousands of dollars in financial burdens related to funeral costs, medical costs, and more.
