Fort Washington, MD (October 17, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian accident reported in Prince George’s County claimed the life of 24-year-old Austin McCollum. The accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on October 15.

According to reports provided by the Prince George’s County Police Department, McCollum was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Indian head Highway in old Fort Road.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement.

McCollum was fatally injured due to the crash and pronounced deceased on-site by authorities.

The Prince George's County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is in charge of the investigation into this fatal collision.
