Lexington Park, MD (September 22, 2023) – A bicycle accident reported in the Lexington Park area ended in injuries.
The accident occurred just after 8:00 p.m. on September 19.
According to reports from the Maryland State Police, a bicyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Pegg Road near West Westbury Boulevard during the evening hours.
The bicyclist was injured as a result of the crash. The victim was treated at the scene and assessed by EMS. A MEDEVAC was requested at the scene. However, due to unknown circumstances, the helicopter was canceled. The victim was rushed to the University of Maryland Capitol Region Trauma Center by ambulance for emergency medical care.
