Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Maryland
Fatal pedestrian accidents are the cause of countless deaths every year in Maryland. Unfortunately, there are far too many cases where innocent people die as a result of negligent drivers. When drivers are speeding, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or engaging in other negligent actions, they place the lives of pedestrians nearby at risk.
The vast majority of pedestrian accidents take place during the overnight hours. When it is darker outside, it can be more difficult to spot a pedestrian on the roadway. This is particularly true if the driver is not paying attention or if they are engaging in some form of negligence while behind the wheel.
