Knowledgeable Maryland Creditors' Rights Attorneys
The Creditors' Rights department of MR&R is comprised of attorneys who are experienced in all areas of federal bankruptcy law. Our lawyers represent creditors that are attempting to protect their collateral and otherwise collect taxes and receivables from individuals and businesses which are in bankruptcy. MR&R’s focus is on collections and lien enforcement actions in bankruptcy. MR&R does not typically represent individuals or businesses who are looking to file bankruptcy.
Representing Municipal Governments as Creditors
Meyers, Rodbell & Rosenbaum, P.A. represents several municipal governments as creditors for the recovery of various taxes and other debts.
Cities and municipalities have particular needs and concerns as bankruptcy creditors, and the firm’s bankruptcy attorneys are well versed in meeting their unique requirements. MR&R represents various municipalities for several counties throughout the State of Maryland in this field of law, including Prince George’s, Charles and Calvert Counties.
Representations in the Areas of Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy
In addition to their representation of municipalities, the attorneys at MR&R provide guidance in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors' rights to clients including:
- Secured creditors;
- Unsecured creditors;
- Banks and other financial institutions;
- Bankruptcy trustees;
- Liquidating trustees; and
- Lenders and borrowers in commercial foreclosures/workouts.
MR&R does not typically undertake representation of consumer debtors. This is because its focus over the years has been in the representation of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, particularly in business bankruptcies and business-related insolvency matters.
