Bladensburg, MD (November 12, 2023) – A dirt bike crash reported in the Bladensburg area claimed one person’s life.
Official reports indicate that around 6:25 p.m. on November 6, calls for help came in regarding an automobile accident on Annapolis Road.
Reports from authorities show that 27-year-old Mario Alemendarez of Hyattsville, Maryland was riding a dirt bike in the 4900 block of the roadway when he became involved in an accident with a pickup truck. The pickup truck was traveling westbound at the time of the accident when the driver attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Alemendarez was severely injured. He was transported to an area hospital, where he passed away on November 8.
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating to determine what caused the crash to occur.
