Callaway, MD (September 14, 2023) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following an automobile accident that occurred in the Callaway area.
The accident was reported at around 12:40 p.m. on September 10.
According to reports from law enforcement, a white pickup truck, a blue pickup truck, and a gold sedan were involved in a broadside collision on Point Lookout Road. The incident prompted officials to shut down the roadway in the area of Little Flower School.
Firefighters and police worked to remove debris and damaged vehicles from the roadway.
One MEDEVAC was requested at the scene of the accident to transport one person to an area hospital for emergency care. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Trauma Center, where they were admitted with serious injuries. Two additional victims were transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for emergency treatment.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
