Cockeysville, MD (August 27, 2023) – The Baltimore County Police Department confirmed that 69-year-old Julie Klien-Whitmore lost her life as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred on Wednesday in Monkton.

At around 8:20 a.m. on August 23, emergency crews were notified that they were needed at the scene of an accident on Monkton Road.

Reports show that Klien-Whitmore was walking her dog at the NCR trail during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling east on Monkton Road.

The woman was severely injured in the accident. She was transported to an area hospital, where she died several hours later.

The crash is being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team at this time.
