La Plata, MD (September 13, 2023) – A man was flown to a local hospital following a major crash that took place in La Plata on Monday morning, September 11.
The accident occurred just after 7:15 a.m.
According to reports provided by authorities, a motorcycle and one other vehicle collided on Port Tobacco Road near the Archbishop Neale School. The incident prompted officials to close down the roadway as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris.
A helicopter from the Maryland State Police Aviation Command, Trooper 2 was called to the scene to transport a 38-year-old male victim to the University of Maryland Capital Region Trauma Center for emergency medical care.
