La Plata, MD (July 14, 2023) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following an automobile accident on Thursday afternoon in the La Plata area.
At around 3:45 p.m. on July 13, emergency officials were notified that a major crash occurred on Old Stagecoach Road that required their assistance.
Emergency officials arrived on-site to find two vehicles with significant damage. One vehicle, a white Buick sedan, came to rest on the side of the roadway near Dolly Drive. The second vehicle overturned and came to rest in the vicinity.
One person was transported to UM Capital Region Trauma Center and underwent emergency care.
The crash is actively being investigated.
