Leonardtown, MD (November 16, 2023) – A 26-year-old man incurred serious injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Monday in Leonardtown. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on November 13, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Point Lookout Road.

Police records indicate that two vehicles were involved in a T-bone accident on Point Lookout Road near Leonardtown High School. Upon arriving at the scene, emergency crews located both of the damaged vehicles in the middle of the roadway with multiple people inside.

Paramedics were called to the scene to provide medical aid to victims who were injured. One victim suffered injuries that warranted further medical care.  The victim was briefly treated at the scene by responding paramedics and airlifted by MEDEVAC to UM Capital Region Trauma Center for emergency treatment. The incident is being investigated.
