Montgomery County, MD – Injuries Follow Crash on I-270 near Montrose RdBeing involved in a motor vehicle accident can change your life forever. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of accidents are reported in the state of Maryland every year that leave victims with life-altering injuries. Quite often, these accidents are a result of negligent drivers.

Far too often, we see innocent people suffer debilitating injuries, such as internal organ injuries and broken bones, due to the negligence of drivers. These accidents are often a result of drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drug, distracted by their phones, or engaging in another negligent action.

If you have been hurt as a result of an automobile accident that was caused by the careless or reckless actions of another driver, a Montgomery County car accident lawyer can help you protect your legal rights. Following an accident, you have the legal ability to file a personal injury claim against the person who is responsible for the accident.

To succeed in your lawsuit, you will need to be able to demonstrate that some form of negligence led to the accident occurring. This includes demonstrating that the driver owed you a duty of care, breached it, caused the crash, and you suffered damages. In Maryland, if you contributed in some way to the accident taking place, you are unable to recover financial compensation for your damages.
