Waldorf, MD (September 5, 2023) – A major motor vehicle collision reported in the Waldorf area on Sunday evening resulted in injuries.
At around 9:07 p.m. on September 3, the police and multiple firefighters responded to the scene of a crash on Crain Highway.
Investigative reports indicate that two vehicles collided on the roadway near Acton Lane. The incident caused severe disruptions in the area.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located multiple victims who were injured. A MEDEVAC helicopter was requested to transport a 4-year-old male to a local hospital for emergency treatment of head injuries. An ambulance responded to transport three pediatric patients, who were identified as a 14-year-old female, a 5-year-old male, and a 2-year-old male. The three victims were transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center.
A second ambulance responded to transport one adult victim to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
