Waldorf, MD (June 23, 2023) – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 57-year-old Gregory Keith Roland died as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred in the Waldorf area.
At around 4:00 a.m. on June 21, authorities were called to the site of the accident on Crain Highway.
Reports show that an on-duty CCSO officer was traveling north in the 3600 block of Crain Highway. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as Roland, suffered severe injuries. Medical personnel attempted to render aid to the pedestrian. However, he passed away while at the scene.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
