White Plains, MD (August 8, 2023) – A pedestrian lost their life as a result of a crash that occurred in the White Plains area on Saturday, August 5.
At around 8:50 a.m., the Maryland State Police troopers out of La Plata Barrack responded to a crash on Crain Highway, US State Highway 301.
According to officials, 35-year-old William Lewis Bowen 3rd was traveling north on the highway. For unknown reasons, Bowen was struck by a vehicle that was traveling just north of Rhodes Way.
Bowen was severely hurt due to the crash. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities pronounced the victim deceased.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
