Avenue, MD (October 7, 2023) – A young child was airlifted and flown to a local hospital following a major crash that occurred in St Mary’s County on Friday afternoon.
Just before 1:30 p.m. on October 6, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Burch Road.
According to reports, a two-year-old child suffered significant injuries after being run over by a golf cart in the 39,500 block of Burch Road.
The child was rendered aid at the scene by EMS. A MEDEVAC was then requested to fly the child to the Children’s National Hospital Center for emergency care.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
