Baltimore, MD (October 10, 2023) – The Maryland State Police confirmed that 37-year-old Bryan Joseph Lee of Catonsville, Maryland, lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in Baltimore County on Monday, October 9.
At around 2:15 a.m., the Maryland State Police out of the Golden Ring Barrack responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Interstate 695.
Reports provided by the police show that a 2006 Honda Civic became disabled on the roadway after crashing into a concrete median while traveling on the outer loop of Interstate 695 in the area near Security Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Lee, exited his vehicle.
For reasons unknown, a 2016 Honda Accord traveling through the roadway crashed into the Civic and Lee.
Lee was severely hurt in the crash. The Baltimore County Fire Department emergency medical service personnel responded to the scene to provide assistance. However, they pronounced him deceased at the scene due to his injuries.
The driver of the Accord, identified as 34-year-old Shannetta Rene Thompson, remained at the scene.
Emergency crews shut down the roadway for several hours while assisting.
Investigations into the crash are currently underway by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
