Elkton, MD (September 6, 2023) – One person lost her life as a result of a fiery accident that took place on Sunday, September 3. The crash was reported to the Maryland State Police at around 9:45 p.m.
According to official reports, a Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling south on Singerly Road when it became involved in a collision with a Honda sedan near Providence Road. Reports show that the Honda driver attempted to make a left turn onto the north lane of the highway at the intersection.
The impact of the collision sent the pickup truck off the side of the roadway, where it crashed into a tree. The pickup truck then burst into flames.
The driver of the truck was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders. The victim was severely injured in the crash. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Honda was not injured.
The state police’s crash team is investigating the accident.
