Great Mills, MD (July 31, 2023) – A motorcycle accident was reported in the Great Mills area that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
At around 12:30 p.m. on July 29, calls for assistance were received regarding a major crash that occurred on Point Lookout Road.
Reports from local law enforcement show that a motorcycle and a car collided on Point Lookout Road near Bay Ridge Road. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the involved motorcycle. The sedan, which was a white four-door Volkswagen, suffered some front-end damage.
The motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash. The victim was flown to UM Capital Region Trauma Center by Maryland State Police Trooper 2.
The driver and passenger in the sedan were evaluated for injuries while at the scene—however, neither required transport.
